DESCRIPTION
JET GHB-1340A Lathe with CBS-1340A Stand
Turn metal cylinders, pistons and cams from aluminum to steel with the variable-speed JET® GHB-1340A with CBS-1340A Stand. A 2 hp motor puts out variable-speed rotation from 70 rpm for denser metal to 2,000 rpm for softer metal. The motors single-phase design combines with an enclosed gearbox drive on the Jet GHB-1340A lathe headstock to minimize operating loudness. The 1.4-inch diameter spindle bore is precision ground, and the spindle turns on precision-engineered roller bearings that keep its rotation accurate. The spindle on the Jet lathe also has a keyless chuck so that turned metal can be swapped out quickly. The lathe mounts on a stand that stabilizes its operating movement, and a V-bed design enhances its precision. The Jet lathe with stand has a cross-slide travel of 6.3 inches. A cooling pump prevents overheating when turning dense metal.
